You have to use your understanding of the cell surface membrane to describe and explain how substances can move in and out of cells or membrane-bound organelles. Diffusion, facilitated diffusion, osmosis and active transport are concepts that you should be familiar with from GCSE - in A level you will go into a little more detail, as well as learning about co-transport!
